Pakistan not responsible for Afghanistan failure: FO

Summary Pakistan and India trade secretaries will meet in Islamabad on April 27-28.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Tehmina Janjua, during the weekly briefing on Thursday, said that cooperation between Pakistan, Afghanistan and the United States was necessary to address the challenges. She said that Pakistan did not agree with a White House report and it was Islamabad’s responsibility to review the strategy against terrorism.She maintained that Pakistan and India trade secretaries would meet in Islamabad on 27-28. She termed the British Prime Minister David Cameron’s visit very successful, adding that President Asif Ali Zardari would visit Turkey from April 11 to 14.Tehmina said that Interior Ministry was working on the issue of former president Pervez Musharraf’s extradition to Pakistan not the Foreign Ministry.
