KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh government on Monday has decided to ensure full medical treatment to the eight-year-old boy who lost his arms after high-tension wires of K-electric fell on him outside his house.
Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah said that the government will carry out victim’s treatment abroad so that he can get best facilities.
It was also told that K-Electric will pay Rs5 million as a compensation money.
Earlier, in another hapless incident, a 25-year-old youth lost his life to negligence of K-electric in Karachi. The deceased was travelling on bike with his friend when a naked electric wire hanging by the street came in their path.
The young man was electrocuted as he tried to remove naked electric wire with bare hands. He was rushed to nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The bereaved family had decided not to lodge legal proceedings against K-electric.
