Summary Railway Minister said that officers who got out of turn promotion will be demoted.
LAHROE (Dunya News) - Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad on Sunday said that promotion will be on merit, out of turn promotion will not be tolerated and action will be taken against such officers.
While talking to media after chairing a session at Railway Head Quarters Lahore, Railway Minister said that officers who got out of turn promotion will be demoted.
Moreover, he said our sole aim is to make department independent within 120 days, and for this purpose, officers will have to give overtime for further development.
He said that railway track will be brought up to standard gauge for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He claimed to invest for public- private partnership for Educational institutions and hospitals.
Sheikh Rashid was also given the briefing about projects underway and financial issues of the department.
The sources said that during the meeting Railway Minister became annoyed at officers for losing the secrecy of the official meeting.
