KARACHI (Dunya News) – Enraged locals staged protest over killing of youth during operation against drug peddlers in Gadap Town in Karachi today (Saturday).
The protesters blocked both tracks of Super Highway and also pelted stones on security personnel. They said that the slain was innocent.
Malir Senior Superintendent in Police (SSP) Sheraz Nazir said that the officers raided hideouts of most wanted drug dealers Jannat and Ibrahim during which, exchange of gunfire took place.
The officer said that 17-year-old Bilal lost his life during an operation. However, we are checking the facts behind the incident and will take action accordingly, he added.
