ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Monday has been made Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA).

An official notification has also been issued in this regard.

It is to be mentioned here that PML-N emerged as second biggest party by getting 82 seats in NA after the addition of 18 reserved seats including 16 for women and two for non-Muslims.

During PM elections, joint opposition candidate former Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) stood second by obtaining 96 votes while his rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan received 176 votes and became the premier.

Sharif won two seats of Punjab Assembly PP-164 and PP-165 in recently held general elections 2018 while he also took seat of lower house of parliament from Lahore’s NA-132 constituency. He had vacated provincial assembly seats for his representation in NA.
