Punjab crown: Another three MPAs-elect all set to join PTI

Summary Three independent MPA-elects have been convinced by Jahangir Tareen.

(Dunya News) – Three more members of provincial assembly (MPAs) including Ajmal Cheema and Malik Umar Farooq from Faisalabad and Sardar Abdul from Muzaffargarh would join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and PM-in-waiting Imran Khan, thus augmenting party’s tally in Punjab Assembly to 134.

As per details garnered, the three independent MPA-elects have been convinced by Jahangir Tareen and Roy Hassan Nawaz to join ranks of PTI.

Earlier today, two independent members of provincial assembly (MPAs) joined ranks of Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

As per details garnered, Pir Saeedul Hassan—who won from Narowal s PP-46—called on Imran Khan at his residence in Bani Gala and put his weight behind PTI for change. Likewise, PP-7’s winning candidate Raja Saghir also joined PTI.

With the inclusion of these three MPA-elects, PTI’s tally in Punjab will soar to 134. To form government in Punjab, a party requires 149 seats for simple majority.

On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Pervez Elahi will meet Khan at his Bani Gala’s residence today and is likely to announce support for PTI. Elahi’s party has won three seats in NA and six in Punjab.
