RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Administration of Adiala Jail on Thursday barred former Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) chairman Absar Alam and former ambassador Tariq Fatemi from meeting Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif.

As per details garnered, both Alam and Fatemi went to Adiala Jail to meet Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (retd) Safdar. Upon their arrival at Adiala Jail, they were informed by the administration that Sharif’s health wasn’t better owing to which PML-N’s leaders and friends were not allowed to see them in jail.

Hearing this, Alam and Fatemi returned home without meeting convicted family.

Only closed relatives are allowed to meet the Sharif family in Adiala Jail.
