KARACHI (Dunya News) – The rout of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) is feared in NA-254 in upcoming general elections as other political leaders have also geared up their campaigns.
Candidates of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) are campaigning high to bag the victory in the constituency.
Head of Mohajir Qumi Movement Pakistan Afaq Ahmed, PSP’s Dr Arshad Vohra and MQM-P’s Shaikh Salahuddin will challenge each other for the seat of National Assembly.
This constituency has more than 0.5 million voters including females and males. However, the locals said that the candidates seek votes and disappear. No one has resolved the issue of NA-254 so far.
On the other hand, 210 million ballot papers have been printed for national and provincial assemblies.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) spokesman said that the papers have been distributed to all the cities except Karachi where they will be delivered today.
