HAROONABAD (Dunya News) – Former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday his party was being bombarded with false allegations.

“Nawaz Sharif restored peace, put an end to loadshedding and initiated (other) development projects yet - day in, day out - we face false allegations,” he told supporters at an election rally in Haroonabad.

“People won’t be tricked into believing false promises of a liar. Tell me, will you elect a liar as your prime minister?” he asked.

Recalling the development projects in his tenure, Shehbaz said his government established “the best” cardiology hospital in Bahawalpur.

“We gave funds to South Punjab, every year, and initated development projects amounting to billions of rupees. Poor children are receiving free-of-cost education at Daanish Schools.”

The PML-N president said that if elected he would build dams and fix water issue. “Even if it means starving and selling clothes. We’ll build dams and solve water crises,” he added.
