LAHORE (Dunya News) – Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, will now contest election from National Assembly constituency NA-127 instead of NA-125, Dunya News reported on Friday.
The decision was taken during PML-N parliamentary board meeting in Lahore which was chaired by the party president Shahbaz Sharif. Maryam Nawaz will also contest election from provincial assembly constituency PP-173.
Pervez Malik or Bilal Yaseen will be awarded party ticket from NA-125.
Mehar Ishtiaq has been given a green signal to contest the upcoming election from NA-126 while Sheikh Rohail Asghar will be awarded party ticket from NA-128 and Sohail Shaukat Butt is in the run for party ticket from NA-129.
Constituency of Ayaz Sadiq, former speaker National Assembly has also reshuffled. Ayaz Sadiq will now contest election from NA-133 instead of NA-129.
PML-N has awarded party ticket to Khawaja Ahmad Ihsan from NA-130 while khawaja Saad Rafiq will face Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan in constituency NA-132.
Hamza Shabaz has been awarded party ticket from NA-124. Sources said that Nawaz Sharif will be contacted on telephone for the verification of the parliamentary board decisions.
