RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Australian Chief of Defence Forces Mark Binskin called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), matters pertaining to mutual interest, including defence, came under discussion during the meeting.

They also exchanged views on mutual cooperation and overall regional security situation.

The visiting dignity lauded the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan Army in war on terror.

He also laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada in GHQ.

Earlier on his arrival at the GHQ, the Australian Chief of Defence Forces was given guard of honor by smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army.

Australian Chief of Defence Forces Air Chief Marshall Mark Binskin also met Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat in Rawalpindi and reviewed the defence and security cooperation with the pledge to further strengthen the same between the two countries.

They acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan in war against terrorism.
