Celebrating mothers: For Fatima, all that she desires is to hear her differently-abled son call her 'Maa'

(Dunya News) – Throughout the world Mother’s Day is observed and celebrated on May 13 where mother, motherhood and maternal bonds are cherished and celebrated. One such bond is that between Fatima and her 17-year-old son Foz, who is mentally and physically challenged.

Unable to walk or talk, Foz’s life is impossible without his mother. From dawn to dusk, Fatima takes care of Foz in hopes that he might someday call him  Maa .

Fatima has always remained optimistic that her son will someday start talking. Fatima has never left the sight of her son and despite his silence she takes care of him.

According to Fatima, she does not feel tired or restless despite taking care of her son round the clock, something she will take care will do till her last breath.

This affectionate and unconditional love is one that only exists between a mother and her children.
