QUETTA (Dunya News) – At the end of the rescue operation after the collapse of a coal mine in the provincial capital’s suburban area, death toll has reached 23 while nine have been injured in two incidents.
In the coal mines of Spin Karez and Margot, coal mine caved in trapping and killings dozens inside. In the PMDC mine of Spin Karez, a total of seven laborers’ dead bodies have been recovered while two remain injured.
Before that, in the area of Margot, 16 died and seven injured as coal mine caved in. Due to difficult terrain, rescue efforts were hampered. In the rescue operation, FC, Levies and PMDC took part.
All dead belonged to the same village in Swat.
