Summary Mustafa Kamal has challenged the results of the recent census in the Supreme Court.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Sarzameen Party supremo Mustafa Kamal has challenged the results of the recent census in the Supreme Court of Pakistan with appeal that third-party audit be conducted to ascertain the partiality and accuracy of the figures.
Talking to media, former mayor of Karachi said that the registered population of Karachi is around 2 crore 15 lac, then how can it be one crore and 40 lac in the census. He said that showing the population of Karachi less than it really is would deprive it of its due rights and resources.
He said that the CM Shah should have spoken about it in the Council of Common Interests that Karachi would suffer a loss of around Rs. 40bn.
He said the population of Lahore has increased at the rate of 3 per cent every year where only people from Punjab live. He said that in Lahore, there are no Bangali settlements or people from Kashmir while people from all over the country come to Karachi.
