Summary Power minister writes another letter to Sindh CM
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minster for Power Division Awais Leghari has said that payment to the Water Board is the responsibility of the Sindh government.
In the second letter written to the chief minister in less than 12 hours, the power minister rejected the stance of the chief minister on the matter of payment to the Karachi Electric.
“After the 18th Amendment, the matter of payment to the Karachi Water Board is the responsibility of the Sindh government. No agreement revokes constitutional amendments,” the minister wrote in the letter.
“The NEPRA is not a federal but a national institution and is also a member of Sindh. We are providing 650MWs to the Karachi Electric without any legal agreement.”
