(Dunya News) – Sikh pilgrims arrived in Pakistan to commemorate the 319th Baisakhi festival that celebrates and welcomes spring, and marks the harvest of Rabi crops.

Over 6,000 pilgrims made their way to Hasan Abdal’s beautifully preserved Gurdwara Panja Sahib to mark the religious celebrations. The shrine holds great significance for Sikhs as it has the imprints of Guru Nanak’s hands on a boulder at the gurdwara.

During the three-day festival, pilgrims bathed in the shrine’s water, drank water from the springs and paid their respects by reading and touching their foreheads on their holy book – the Guru Granth Sahib.
