CHICHAWATNI (Dunya News) - Punjab police has said in its report that accusation of rape with Chichawatni’s 8-year-old Noor Fatima is entirely false and has termed her killing ‘accidental’.

Evidence suggests that Noor Fatima was not raped and has been confirmed by the DNA report, says police.

The special team formed by Punjab CM to probe the case also deduced the same results, therefore; the allegation the Noor Fatima was burnt alive after rape is wrong.

Investigation reveals that the girl received Rs10 from his family from which she bought three toffees and firecrackers packet with which she kept on playing for five to seven minutes near her home.

Statements of 19 people have been recorded in the case. Police is awaiting the chemical report of Noor Fatima’s clothes and shoes.

Police has assured the court that the matter will be investigated on merit.

On the directions of Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Punjab IG submitted the report in Supreme Court.

Eight-year-old Noor Fatima had gone missing on Monday after she left her home to buy sweets from a nearby shop. Three hours later, the family found the girl with 90 percent of her body burnt.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital from where she was referred to the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore an succumbed to her wounds there on Tuesday.

The post-mortem report confirmed that Noor Fatima was raped before being burnt. The minor girl was then laid to rest amid tears and wails.
