Malala began her campaign for girls’ education at the age of 11, when she started writing a blog under a pseudonym for the BBC’s Urdu service in 2009 about life under Taliban in Swat.
This is Malala’s first visit to Pakistan since she was shot in the head by Taliban six years ago following her activism towards promoting girls’ education. The youngest ever winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, she has continued to be a vocal advocate for girls’ education while pursuing her studies at Oxford University.
