Facebook users also expressed their joy over Malala’s return and greeted her with cheerful comments.

Malala began her campaign for girls’ education at the age of 11, when she started writing a blog under a pseudonym for the BBC’s Urdu service in 2009 about life under Taliban in Swat.

This is Malala’s first visit to Pakistan since she was shot in the head by Taliban six years ago following her activism towards promoting girls’ education.
