KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQMP) Farooq Sattar on Tuesday announced to move court against Election Commission of Pakistan’s verdict which ousted him from party’s convenership.
While addressing party workers here in Karachi, Sattar claimed that workers had rejected ‘black verdict’ of ECP and he would move court against the verdict.
Sattar termed ECP’s verdict a premeditated move and claimed that a blind eye was turned towards evidence.
“Four signatures were suspicious in verdict having 2/3rd majority. The verdict of ECP is aimed at weakening MQMP”, asserted Sattar.
He stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Peoples Party were given a chance to enter Karachi’s politics. He said, “The symbol of the party [kite] was snatched from us and awarded to MQM-Bahadurabad faction”.
Sattar invited MQM-Bahadurabad faction to hold intra-party elections. He also opined to hold election for party chief after intra-party elections.
