(Dunya News) – The 78th Pakistan Day was observed across the country with national spirit.
Pakistan Day holds a significant place in the history of the country. The day was marked by a spectacular joint armed services parade at Shakarparian Parade Avenue in the Federal Capital. The Parade Avenue echoed with patriotic slogans and was decorated with pictures of Allama Iqbal and Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena was the special guest. Many diplomats were present at the ceremony.
Dressed in their regiment uniforms, in a synchronised march past, the proud contingents of Pakistan Army participated in the celebrations of the Pakistan Day.
Pakistan armed forces’ troops including Frontier Corps, Pakistan Rangers, Northern Light Infantry, Mujahid Battalion, Tri Services Lady Officers, Tri Services Armed Forces Nursing Services, Special Services Group and President Bodyguards also took part in the parade.
As the military band performed patriotic songs, the special services group presented their salute to the president of Pakistan.
Female contingents also paraded and presented their salute. Followed by the boys scout, the girls guide in their harmonised march past received cheers from the crowd.
For the first time, international troops from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain also took part in the parade. Jordan’s marching band also took part in the parade.

Presidential body guards on their horses galloped their way in the parade.
Army aviation and Pakistan’s Airforce displayed a breathtaking performance during the fly past. The parade included aerobatic skills of fighter jet pilots on their F-16 Fighting Falcons and JF-17.
Pakistan’s armed forces displayed tanks and various state of the art military technology used to combat in wars in the parade.
During the exhibition of the sophisticated modern weaponry and arsenal, various missiles of Pakistan including Ghauri, Shaheen, NASR, Abdali, Babur and cruise missiles were part of the parade.
