ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan has summoned its High Commissioner from India for consultation on the issue of harassment of its diplomats in New Delhi.
This was stated by Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal during his weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday.
He told that Pakistan’s Deputy High Commissioner’s vehicle carrying his children was stopped for 40 minutes.
The deliberate bullying is not confined to a single isolated event, but continues unabated in a series of incidents, while picture evidence is also present, said the spokesperson.
Dr Muhammad Faisal clarified that neither any such incident occurred with Indian diplomats in Pakistan nor Indian High Commission has informed them of such situation.
Pakistan can go to any limits for the safeguard of its diplomats, he added.

The spokesperson urged that India should practice local politics in its own country and should not involve Pakistan in its elections. “No mention of India is made in the politics and elections of Pakistan. Indian political parties should also follow this act,” he asserted.
Dr Muhammad Faisal pronounced that no military situation exist for Afghanistan issue however; Pakistan is resdy to play role in the reconciliation process.
He told that Pakistan is neither included in the race of weapons in South Asia nor has any competition with India in this regard.
“India poses a threat to regional peace through the race of weapons. Iran has offered Pakistan to participate in Chahbahar port development. Gawadar and Chahbahar are sister ports,” he said.
“Pakistan is considering initiating political consultation with Bangladesh. Steps are also being taken to improve ties with Russian federation,” he declared.
