Summary Continuing their protest on 10th consecutive day, doctors are checking patients on roads in Punjab.
A representative of theYoung Doctors Association (YDA), Punjab, said that doctors would not attend patients in hospitals, until the acceptance of their demands.The outdoor units in all government hospitals have been closed since March 1 and doctors set up medical camps on roads traet emergency patients.Doctors said that the government should give a special salary package as they too were serving the nation like police and judiciary. They said that the salaries were being given to the doctors were not enough to meet their needs. The government said that doctors’ strike was unnecessary and it was creating problems for patients.
