'Chalo chalo': That time PPP workers headed to their own rally unaware of the purpose

(Dunya News) – There’s political commitment and then there’s PPP workers’ political commitment.

To celebrate the International Women’s Day, a rally was organised by the Pakistan Peoples Party women wing which was attended by a large number of women participants. But little did these workers know what the gathering was all about.

Holding banners and party flags, women participated in the rally but the purpose of the gathering was unknown to many. The ‘Karvan e Benazir’ rally that was meant to celebrate Women’s Day featured slogans of ‘Jieye Bhutto’.

Speaking to Dunya News, many women said they are unaware of why they had gathered, with some saying they were out running errands when they were asked to come along, and so they did.

“I am only here for the love of Bilawal Bhutto,” one woman said in the rally.
