Summary MQM-P leader Farooq Sattar accused 15 party members of changing loyalties for bribe
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Farooq Sattar announced his plans of challenging the Senate elections in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), revealing that at least 14 and as many as 19 Members of Provincial Assembly (MNAs) of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) changed loyalties for bribe.
While levelling allegations of horse-trading on Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Sattar claimed that 15 MPAs including women voters took bribes. “PPP opened the sacks of money,” he said.
Talking to a press conference in Karachi, the MQM-P leader announced that he will make sure to de-seat the provincial lawmakers who participated in horse-trading.
He further informed that Farogh Naseem received votes of only 14 out of 19 MPAs. He told the Bahadurabad faction to dig out those four to six votes in their line. “Will go to ECP to de-seat these six MPAs,” he announced.
Sattar said they will take public opinion after challenging the polls in ECP. “Is PTI, PSP and PPP being prepared to set a new stage for Sindh?” he asked.
He admitted that his party was more weak today than ever, appealing to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and ECP to take notice of the issue.
Meanwhile, Farogh Nassem declared Farooq Sattar as a cause behind MQM’s defeat in Senate elections. He said that not even five percent leaders are with PIB, continuing that Khalid Maqbool is convener of MQM.
