Summary Sharif said that people will continue to support PML-N despite court's verdict.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday has said that few people disqualified a PM that was elected by the whole nation.
Talking to media after appearance in accountability court, Nawaz Sharif said that the PM is not a thief, dacoit, smuggler, Sicilian mafi and Godfather, he is the one being chosen by the general masses.
Responding to the decision of Supreme Court (SC) in Panama Leaks case, the former president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said that no one has accepted his disqualification over Iqama, adding that the nation demands respect for the vote.
Talking on Senate elections, Sharif said that PML-N won in Sargodha and Senate elections despite stealing of electoral symbol. The one who doesn’t stand against oppression is actually a biggest cruel person, he added.
He reiterated that people will continue to support PML-N despite court’s verdict.
Earlier, Nawaz Sharif had rhetorically asked the elements against him to halt all development projects as well which were approved by him during his tenure as the premier of Pakistan.
His statement about halting development projects came in context of annulment of all decisions taken by him as party’s head before he was disqualified and Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif was elected party s chief.
He said that the parliament rejected apex court’s verdicts and elected ‘party’s candidates’ in majority in Senate election 2018.
Sharif complained that a PM who brings Pakistan historic foreign investment under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is disqualified. A leader who successfully negotiates gas agreements for Pakistan is disqualified, Nawaz added.
