Summary Nawaz Sharif addressed a political rally in Gujrat today, months away from General Elections 2018.
GUJRAT (Dunya News) – Disqualified premier and former president of ruling political front Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif on Sunday has rhetorically asked the elements against him to halt all development projects as well which were approved by him during his tenure as the premier of Pakistan that ended before due time on July 28, 2017 in a corruption probe.
Nawaz addressed a rally of political workers in Gujrat today and said in his speech that it was time to root-out the disease that Pakistan was suffering of for the past 70 years.
His statement about halting development projects came in context of annulment of all decisions taken by him as party s head before he was disqualified and Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif was elected party s chief.
Ex-president of PML-N complained that a premier of Pakistan who brings to Pakistan historic foreign investment under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is disqualified. A leader who successfully negotiates gas agreements for Pakistan is disqualified, Nawaz added.
He reiterated that he was disqualified by the top court for not obtaining salary from his son’s company against a position he was holding.
Nawaz complained that a lawmaker who had secured crores of votes in General Elections 2013 was disqualified by five persons. Nawaz challenged the elements working against him to halt all development projects approved by him during his service as the premier of Pakistan that ended before due time on July 28, 2017.
The nation has decided to fight a decisive war now, Nawaz claimed.
He said that the parliament rejected apex court’s verdicts and elected ‘party’s candidates’ in majority in Senate election 2018.
