Summary An electoral alliance cannot be ruled out before the next general elections, says Ch. Shujaat.
PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat said that no grand alliance of opposition parties was going to come into force at this time but an electoral alliance could not be ruled out before the general elections.Talking to reporters in Islamabad, Shujaat said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid and People’s Party (PPP) could make an electoral alliance in the next elections.He ruled out the chances of mid-term elections because he would not support any such attempt to destabilise PML-N government in Punjab and PPP government in Centre. Shujaat said that the members of the Unification Bloc were running here and there without any direction.He said that the army should not be invited, instead an All Parties Conference should be held to resolve crises facing the country.
