NAB references: Sharif family to appear in Accountability Court today

Summary Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir will hear the references against Sharif family.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (retd) Safdar will again appear in the Accountability Court in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) references today (Friday).

Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir will hear the references. The court has summoned three prosecution witnesses in connection with Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investment supplementary references.

The court will record statements of prosecution witnesses Abdul Hannan, Rizwan Khan and Sunil Ijaz in Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investment supplementary references.

The Accountability Court has also summoned a key prosecution witness Wajid Zia, former head of the Panama case Joint Investigation Team (JIT), in the Avenfield properties reference.

Defence counsel Khawaja Haris will cross examine the witnesses after completion of their statements.
