Summary Ahsan Iqbal has said that it would have been contempt of court if court’s verdict had not accepted.
WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday said that accepting verdict is not contempt of court. It would have been contempt of court if the court’s verdict had not accepted.
This he stated while addressing media at the Pakistan Embassy in Washington.
Interior Minister also briefed the media-men about latest situation in Pak US relations and regional situation. He said that we do not want dollars; rather, we want to extend our alliance on mutual respect
Ahsan Iqbal said that both United States and Pakistan as major stakeholders can play vital role in establishing peace in Afghanistan.
He has said that Pakistan considers US as an important partner in achieving its development goals. Both countries have always mutually benefited by working together.
Ahsan Iqbal also gave a keynote address at an event on CPEC at Pakistan Embassy. He said that we have turned around the country. He said that the back of the terrorists has been broken. “CPEC will have long term positive impact on our economic progress,” he added.
Ahsan Iqbal said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has attracted a lot of attention globally and added that it is indeed one of the major transformational projects Pakistan has undertaken.
Minister Ahsan Iqbal said both China and Pakistan are keen to operationalize CPEC at the earliest so that it can stimulate the economy and bring about meaningful change in the lives of the people of Pakistan.
