According to the sources, President Asif Ali Zardari has assigned Rehman Malik the task of defusing tension between PPP and MQM after which Rehman Malik telephoned Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan.Both the leaders discussed the statements of Zulfiqar Mirza as well as MQM Coordination Committee and exchanged views to normalise the situation.Meanwhile, Incharge PPP Media Cell Sharjeel Inam said that the statement of Zulfiqar Mirza was misquoted and misunderstood by some people.
