Summary Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday said that after the approval of 18th amendment, the transfer of the Health Ministry to provinces would not be stopped.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of anti-polio eradication campaign, Firdous said that the three days house to house polio campaign would be held across the country from March 7 to 9. She said that National Immunisation Days (NIDs) would be held in all districts and agencies of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).According to NIH sources, around 37.69 million doses will be used to vaccinate approximately 32.66 million children under 5 years of age. The support has been given to the districts to use services of 88,000 teams, 15,822 area in-charges, 2,777 zonal supervisors and 873 campaign support persons.
