LAHORE (Dunya News) – Director General (DG) of Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) Dr Ashraf Tahir has said on Wednesday that three of the teams worked relentlessly round the clock for DNA testing and examination to trace suspect Imran in Zainab murder case.

While conversing in programme ‘Nuqta-e-Nazar’, the DG said that the suspect is a serial killer whose DNA sample was collected on the night of January 20 and the next day all tests had been run on the sample.

He said that Punjab forensic lab is the second largest lab in the world and the teams timely arrive on the site and collect samples for tests.

Dr Tahir said that at least 1,150 persons were tested to match the DNA collected off body late Zainab. The DG said that he has an experience in DNA testing procedure of at least 40 years.

Statement of the lab DG has come in after suspect Imran was held 14 days after national reportage over seven-year-old Zainab’s body was recovered in a heap of trash in Kasur.
