Summary Five foreigners, who were travelling without valid documents, were arrested on Friday, but released after a few hours.
According to police, four German and a British national were busy in making video film of a police picket on Empress Road when the police asked them for legal documents. However, the foreigners could not provide any valid document and also failed to prove their identification. The police officials took them to police station for further questioning.On the other hand, the arrested foreigners claimed that they had been running carpet business for last 12 years and their travelling documents were in the local hotel where they were staying. Police released all of them after two hours of detention.
