KASUR (Dunya News) – Punjab chief minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Kasur on Wednesday to review progress in Zainab murder case and said in a media interaction that the case is moving ahead on scientific lines.
The chief minister was briefed during a high-level the meeting over progress in the case after which he addressed the media during which he asserted that the teams are working day and night to catch the culprit.
At DPO office today, RPO Zulfiqar briefed the CM on latest updates in the case. He said that suspect’s route has been established while CCTV footages covering narrow streets have been obtained, he said.

Head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) which was formed by CM Shehbaz after Kasur rape case was reported last week, Muhammad Idrees briefed the top Punjab official as well.
During the media talk following the meeting, CM Shehbaz said that technical assistance of the military intelligence agencies and the NADRA is being obtained to make the investigation into Zainab murder case successful.
He said that the government is trying the utmost to arrest the killers of Zainab and punish them as per the law.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the case is moving ahead on scientific lines and a lot of development has taken place to probe into the killers of slain girl Zainab.
He said that the name of the person, who cooperates with the police about the Zainab Murder, will be kept secret.
