Russia acknowledges Pakistan's efforts in eradicating terrorism

Summary Lavrov said Russia will provide every possible support to Pakistan to make it a developed country.

MOSCOW (Dunya News) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in eradicating terrorism and said the terrorists spread inside Afghanistan along the areas bordering Pakistan pose a grave danger for Islamabad.

While responding to a question after addressing a press conference in Moscow, Sergei Lavrov said Russia will provide every possible support to Pakistan to make it a developed country.

Lavrov gave these remarks in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s tweet in which he slammed Pakistan for "lies & deceit." Trump also hinted at cutting or limiting US aid to Pakistan.

To another question, the Russian FM said that several agreements have been signed between Pakistan and Russia for the provision of helicopters and military equipments. He said Pakistan’s presence in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation will strengthen relation between the countries.
