Summary Interior Minister Rehman Malik did not talk about the Punjabi Taliban, instead urged the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to put the past behind him. He also said that the government depends on the IMF and they pressurize the government.
While talking to the media outside the parliament house, Rehman Malik said that the masterminds of Shahbaz Bhatti’s murder have been found and soon the murderers will be arrested. He urged institutions to investigate the incident with an open mind.Rehman Malik said that the credit for the talks with MQM goes to Altaf Husain, President Asif Ali Zaradi and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.He said that it is a fact that the government is dependent on the IMF and they put the government under a lot of pressure and we believe that the reduction in the petroleum product prices is attributed to the benefit of the people. He added that points should not be scored on such issues.
