Summary President Asif Ali Zardari directed Federal Finance Minister to provide special incentives for attracting remittances from overseas Pakistanis through regular banking channels, Dunya News reported.
President Asif Ali Zardari discussed the collective economic and social situation of the country with Finance Minister Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and Governor State Bank of Pakistan Shahid Kardar who called on him at Bilawal House Karachi, The President emphasized the need for enlarging social safety net for the poorest of the poor, broadening the tax base and giving special incentives for attracting remittances from overseas Pakistanis through regular banking channels.Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik also called on the president and briefed him about the progress regarding investigation of Shahbaz Bhatti’s murder.
