Summary Protests, rallies and demonstrations are banned in the Red Zone.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Home Department has extended imposition of Section-144 in the provincial capital on Tuesday for a period of six months in wake of the unrest owing to street crimes and gun attacks by operatives of banned outfits.

The extended imposition has banned protests, demonstrations and rallies in the Red Zone that constitutes the Chief Minister House and the governor house.

According to a notification issued today, a group of five persons present together at a public place are culpable under Section-144 while show of weapons is banned as well. No vehicle is permitted to have shaded window glasses, police lights and sirens.

Earlier in the day today, chief minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah presided over a meeting of the apex committee during which the participants agreed to ramp up security operations.
