KARACHI (Dunya News) – Goods worth millions rupees were reduced to ashes when fire broke out in a godown located near new Sabzi Mandi of Karachi.
According to details, the blaze erupted due to short circuit in the wires of generator. However; the fire brigade officials arrived after much delay as they were on a strike.

The helpless owner of the godown watched as his goods burnt in the fire. "The fire started at 3am and I called the fire brigade but none of them arrived. My own people begin to douse the fire with the water tenders but when the firefighters saw the media they posed as if they are doing the work," said the godown administrator Haji Malik.
After the passage of several hours, only three vehicles of fire brigade reached at the scene but ran of water shortly. The owner then arranged for water under self-help.

Firefighters said that they have not received their allowance from the past eight months due to which fewer vehicles arrived to douse the blaze.
Meanwhile, the affectees denounced such protest due to which ruin the lives of people.
