Nation waiting for punishment of those involved in PTV, parliament attacks: Marriyum

Summary PTI leader evaded courts while Nawaz Sharif is facing the trial, Marriyum Auranzeb said.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday has asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan to avoid paying attention to Model town incident and answer the court about PTV and Parliament attack cases.

Referring to appearance of Imran Khan before anti-terrorism court (ATC), she said PTI leader evaded courts while former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, despite taking steps for eliminating terrorism, is facing the trial.

She said if elimination of corruption was priority of Imran Khan, then he would not have locked down the accountability commission in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Nation is waiting for the punishment of those involved in PTV, parliament attacks, she added.

Earlier today, ATC rejected Imran Khan’s plea to remove terrorism clauses from the cases against him. Babar Awan said that these case don’t fall in the clauses of terrorism, therefore, he requested to remove them but the court turned it down.
