Summary A writ petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) challenging the condition of NOC for Pakistani artists and journalists before travel to India.
According to the petitioner, the Interior Ministry has issued an order that NOC is mandatory for all artists and journalists before travel to India. The petitioner has requested the court to suspend the order stating that order was against the law of human rights and would create the problems for the artists and journalists. The federal government had announced that actors and artists would have to obtain a NOC before travelling to India and decision would be implemented from March 15.
