Summary To restore public convenience in Faizabad area is district administration's responsibility: minister

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has stated on Saturday that district administration of the federal capital is liable to ensure convenience of the locals by restoring peace.

Statement of the minister for information and broadcasting has come in at a time of countrywide tensions owing to a security operation in Islamabad to end sit-in of two rightist movements namely, Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah and Sunni Tehreek.

The state minister stated that it is upon the administration to enforce order of the high court. It should be noted here that Islamabad High Court had earlier ordered the federal government to end the sit-in within 24 hours however, the ultimatum was pushed by another 24 hours and interior minister Ahsan Iqbal had assured that talks would result in resolution of the outstanding issue.
