LAHORE (Dunya News) – Offering Nawaz Sharif an oppurtunity for bilateral talks on the basis of covenant of democracy, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that discussions between PPP and PML-N can only be considered if Nawaz Sharif leaves behind the politics of confrontation.

Talking in an interview with Dunya News, PPP Chairman said that Nawaz Sharif is not new in politics he has been the prime minister of the country three times but is playing a dangerous game with his confronational politics.

PPP Chairman said that Nawaz Sharif is trying to solve his personal problems and clearing away allegations of corruption even at the cost of weakening the framework of democracy in Pakistan and he said that PPP does not endorse the actions of Nawaz Sharif and would not be open for dialogue unless Nawaz Sharif changes his confronational political stance.

Responding to a question with regard to elections, Bilawal said that Pakistan s political system is a multi party one and after free and fair elections it is evident that multiple parties are present in the parliament and he confidantly asserted that PPP is a big Pakistani party which has presence all over the country not just in Sindh and will hopefully have a strong presence in the parliament after 2018 elections.

With regard to Imran Khan, PPP Chairman said that his politics is that of hatred and of abusive nature and his political days are numbered saying that his first election in 2018 would be Imran Khan s last. in a question related to Maryam Nawaz, Bilawal Bhutto responded that he respects that Maryam knows ethical politics and does not resort to personal attacks.

Earlier today, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, also known as a master of rapprochement, has refused to meet ousted prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif.

The news was confirmed by PPP Senator and spokesperson Farhatullah Babar. He opted the stance that it is not the right time for the leaders to meet and conduct dialogues.

According to details, Asif Zardari remarked that Nawaz Sharif is responsible for the current political situation in Pakistan. The disqualified premier talks about Charter of Democracy only when he finds himself in trouble, commented Zardari.

Furthermore, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also apologized to meet Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. It is worth mentioning here that Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah had on Wednesday informed the party leadership about PM Abbasi’s wish to hold a meeting.

Let it be known that the move by PPP came two days after the National Assembly (NA) rejected a motion tabled on Tuesday concerning disqualified lawmakers who lead political parties, with 163 to 98 votes.
