Summary US citizen, Aaron Mark De Haven has been sent to prison on a 14 day judicial remand after he was arrested for his illegal stay in Peshawar due to an expired visa.
Aaron Mark De Haven, who was arrested on university road in Peshawar, was taken in an armed vehicle to appear the court of Judicial Magistrate, Qudratullah. He was present along with his in-laws when he told the court that he did not work for any NGO and instead he worked for a private company providing housing and life support to foreigners in the country.Upon the court’s query, Aaron told that he had come to Pakistan on a work visa, he has also invested money in the country and he has submitted an application for a visa extension. Aaron asked that, if he were to be deported, will he be granted time to wrap up his investments from the country. His in-laws said that they have hired Fakhar Alam Jhagra as his lawyer, who appeared in court.
