Summary Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif now has support of 180 members after braking alliance with PPP in Punjab. Support of Unification Group, Functional League and MMA has become important for Sharifs politics in Punjab, Dunya News reported.

Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) has 171 members in 371 members’ House in Punjab Assembly.After breaking with PPP, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif remains with the support of 181 members including his allies, while support of 186 members is mandatory to survive his chief minister ship.Three members of Functional League, 2 members of MMA, 3 independent members including 1 member of Zia League are supporters of PML-N.Pakistan People’s Party has 106 members in Punjab Assembly while 2 independent members are its supporters.PML-Q now survives with its 35 members in Punjab assembly after Unification bloc’s split with it.Unification Bloc of PML-Q has its representation in Punjab Assembly with 46 members.MPA Amjad Farooq Khosa represents as an independent member without supporting any party in the house while 1 seat remains vacant after resignation of Shumaila Rana.
