Summary Textile industry owners in Faisalabad have decided to launch a protest, as a last resort, against the gas load shedding. The industrialists said that they would lock their factories and come on streets against the government.
Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association regional chairman Ajmal Farooq said that all factories will be locked on February 28 in protest. The industrialists and workers will jointly take out a protest rally from Maqbool Road to Ghantaghar square and also stage a sit-in in District Council square. According to the industrialists, there was no gas for industries for several months and this happened first time in the history of the country. The factory owners said that the prime minister made many promises that gas load shedding for industries would not be acceded to two-days a week.
