Summary PTI’s Firdous Shamim sarcastically advised Farooq Sattar to keep an eye on Karachi Mayor
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Addressing recent defector Arshad Vohra, Karachi Mayor and senior MQM-P leader Waseem Akhtar ambiguously said that PSP is our “safe department”. The statement came at a time when MQM-P is in a pitiful state of political rock-bottom.
Making the most of the moment, PTI’s Firdous Shamim sarcastically advised Farooq Sattar to keep an eye on Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar.
Since then, members of MQM-P and PSP have been interpreting Waseem Akhtar’s ambiguous statement in their own ways. On the other hand, opposition met before the city consul meeting to discuss whether a political guard should be put on against Deputy Mayor and it was decided to be unbiased with regard to doubts against the Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra, it was also decided to be non-aligned with regard to temporary alliance with the MQM-P.
Before the meeting, banners against the Mayor were also raised outside City Consul Headquarters. Arshad Vohra’s accusations and accountability of Mayor’s alleged acquisitions from the development funds were also brought in discussion.
