LONDON (Dunya News)- Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President and ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif has on Saturday expressed concern on forced disappearance and harassment of social media activists.

He was talking to media in London.

“It is constitutional liability of government to respect and provide security to ensure freedom of speech. The forcible oppression of opposing political narratives is condemnable,” Sharif told reporters.

“I believe in the right of freedom of speech,” he said while adding, “Everyone has right to express his/her views within constitutional jurisdiction,”

Nawaz termed harassment of those writing in his party’s favour as attack on right of free speech and asked interior minister to ensure recovery of missing persons.
