Summary Former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Raymonds issue was mishandled and he would not disclose who mishandled it. He said that it was unfair to compare him with Farooq Leghari and hold him accountable because he didnt commit any crime.
The National Assembly session was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Fehmida Mirza. Qureshi explained on a point of objection that mistakes should be removed. He said that Leghari offered me to take a ministry but he refused and stood along with his leader Benazir Bhutto.He said that he would not blame anybody because he respected every one. He didn’t try to derail Pak-US ties, Qureshi said adding, “I was right over Kerry-Lugar Bill and I am right too at this time.” Shah Mehmood said that now the government’s stance over Raymond Davis was similar to his point of view.He said that PPP was a democratic party and every one had freedom of speech in democracy. He said that he had relationship of respect with the President and the Prime Minister.
